Today’s amazing move focuses again on hamstrings, glutes and even your quads and you don’t need any equipment for it. Ready? Let’s go!

Romanian Deadlift

Materials Needed: None! (Or if you have 5 or 10lb dumbells you can hold those in your hands for the exercise)

Muscles Targeted: Hamstrings, glutes, quads

Romanian Deadlift Step 1

Stand up straight and lift your left foot off the floor, bringing your knee in line with your hip. Be sure your torso is up and straight. (If you choose, you can hold dumbells in your hands for an added challenge.)

Romanian Deadlift Step 2

Lean over bringing your torso parallel to the floor and bend your right knee down as far as you can go. Keep your left leg lifted and swing your left foot behind you. All of this should happen in one swift motion. Push yourself back up to starting position, keeping your left knee lifted. When you come back to start, squeeeeeeeze your glutes very tight.

Note: Whatever leg begins in the lifted position, should never touch the floor until the set is over.

By the time you finish one set you will definitely feel it in your glutes, hamstrings and quads.
