About the Founder
Renisha James was born in Chicago and raised in Evanston, IL. She’s an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer with an unquenched desire to help others change the way they think about fitness and health. She is an avid runner and has completed several 5K’s, 10K’s and 3 full marathons. She serves as an ambassador for Nike Women and is an active member with Chicago chapter of Black Girls RUN!, a national running group for women. She also works with the blogger network FitFluential as a fitness blogger.
Renisha has always been fascinated with the human body and its capabilities, but her passion intensified as people began to seek her guidance to meet their fitness goals. That passion was further escalated following the loss of her grandmother to complications from diabetes in 2008. It became her ultimate aspiration to help her community connect the dots between health, physical activity and a more nutritious diet.
Renisha is convinced that everyone has great potential to be informed and knowledgeable about what it takes to be fit, one renewed mind and body at a time.
