I Have Weak Glutes and I Cannot Lie

*Note: I’m going to start making my way back to blogging. It has been a roller coaster ride of emotion, fear and time constraints but I love my blog and I want to get back to what I love and back to writing for those of you who read this. Thank you for sticking with me, encouraging me and for just being awesome. I’m back.*

Shout out to Sir Mix A lot, but in this case I’m not talking about having a big butt, but a stronger one will do. I have weak glutes and I cannot lie. Continue reading →

80′s Fitness Fashion That Should Definitely Make a Comeback

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that fashion changes from one season to the next and from one decade to the next. This includes fitness fashion. Is there a such thing as fitness fashion? YES! What we’re wearing when we workout has definitely evolved, and each decade has brought us fashions that are both hilarious and hideous. Somehow… some way… some fashion trends tend to come back full circle and some get left in the decade they were found in. Five Ways to Use Your Phone for Fitness (Not Just Apps!)

For the past month, or so, I’ve been carrying around 2 phones. One is my regular Samsung Galaxy S that I’ve had for almost 2 years. The other is the incomparable Motorola DROID Razr HD I got through Verizon’s Health and Fitness Voices Program as an ambassador.  I was pretty impressed with it when I first got it a few weeks ago and was like a kid in a candy story playing with all the features and discovering what it could do. Now, a few weeks later, and I am EVEN MORE in love with it and I’ve discovered 5 ways to use it to be fit. Continue reading →

Video: Nike Women’s Marathon Ambassador Experience & Race Recap

I couldn’t possibly sum up this past weekend’s experience into one blog post. I can hardly stop thinking about the beauty of San Francisco, the race experience, all the Nike goodies I got, the new friends I acquired and the connections I made. I decided a video would be the next best thing to posting all of the pictures I took in an album on FB (which I still plan to do). Between the photo shoots, all the Nike+ perks, and the Tiffany blue Nike+ LunarGlides, this was a very overwhelming weekend…in a good way! Continue reading →

Video: Strong Legs, Strong Runner

It’s running season! Most of us have already taken to the streets, paths and pavement to achieve our running goals for the year. Whether you’re running your first 5K or your 12th marathon. I’m so excited about what’s to come and can’t wait to hit some of the races and events I’ve been planning for this year. I’ve gotten a few questions lately on building a good foundation as a runner. My body has also reminded me that I need to do some foundation building to continue to be strong and prevent injury (especially my knees). Continue reading →
