Motivating Music – Bruno Mars: Just The Way You Are

I haven’t done a “Motivating Music” post in a long time. So…here goes!

This song has been in my head and on my heart for a few weeks now. I heard it in the car on the radio with a friend of mine. She asked if I’d ever heard it, and I said no. She let out a huge gasp and then said…”It’s such a beautiful song. Listen to the words…” I listened…and after the song was over, I was almost in tears. Not from sadness, but from hearing words I’ve needed to hear for such a long time. And a concept, I’ve been working on accepting for years now. Beautiful words reminding the girl Bruno was singing to that she is “amazing just the way you are”. The message is perfect and simple.

It’s even more beautiful that Bruno Mars wrote such an powerful song. Even if you aren’t in a relationship, the words can make you feel so new inside. And, it’s always great to hear such a soothing, angelic voice sing such powerful words to you.
