So I’ve been milling around, trying to get things in order so that when I announced what was happening with Renewed Fitness, it would sound so OFFICIAL. Well, forget all that. For today, Monday Motivation is a little different. I’m motivating you to take charge of your health and get a fresh start. I want to give you what you need to make it happen.
When you’re really passionate about doing something (especially when it comes to helping people) you’ll go to great lengths to be sure every resource is available for the people you’re helping to be successful. When I was a teacher a few years ago, I always told my students that I would exhaust every resource I could to be sure they had all they needed to succeed. I’d spend my own money on more teaching tools, attend workshops, print off more worksheets, ask other teachers for advice, tutor after-school…if it benefited their academic journey in the end, I would do it. BUT…after I’d done all that, if they still failed or got a low grade, it was out of my hands.
So, in the fitness industry (and in my own head) this is the same. As a trainer, I look to find as many tools as I can to help my clients push toward their goals. I stay flexible, buy more equipment, put together eating plans, give impromptu advice, stay out late, get up extra early, do tons of research, study to be certified, attend conferences and seminars…all in an effort to encourage my clients that they CAN be healthy. So, my next step was to find a space where I could train. A lot of folks kept asking me why I didn’t just work at Bally or L.A. Fitness. While those are great places to get a good workout in (and I’ve worked at Bally before) they tend to be caught up in driving sales and not success. Of course, this is my opinion, but I’d rather give people the opportunity to train and get fit under no pressure to “buy more sessions”. My vision is that people will want to continue to workout because their minds have changed about what being healthy is.
So, my efforts to find a great place to train have led me to HardCore Fitness Studio, LLC in Lincoln Park. (There’s the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!) I have a place to train people! This is huge for me and even more huge for you!
In celebration, I’m accepting new clients and offering special training packages for those interested in getting serious about meeting their fitness goals. If you’re ready to learn more about your health, how to properly lift weights, train for a race, get more motivation to continue on the path you’re already on, how to eat right/what to eat, or just want to set a goal and see it through contact me so we can get started. Use the contact form, or send me an email at: renewedfitness@gmail.com Let’s go!
Be Renewed!

That’s great news! Congrats on getting a space to work with individuals in your city!
Congratulations, girl!
As we briefly tweeted about earlier today, fitness can become addicting! I’ve always been thin, so in the past I was never into exercising.
A girlfriend encouraged me to join our local YMCA this past January when there was a $0 joiner fee, and my life has been radically different ever since. I’ve become obsessed with fitness and working out, because you CAN see results over time and it’s rewarding! (Not to mention the fact that as we get older, our metabolism slows down and it’s not easy for everyone to just stay slender without actively working on their bodies.)
Fitness has changed my life too, and I’m even taking steps (small ones so far) to become an instructor and get certified and help people be their own healthcare advocates! The Biggest Loser, Losing It with Jillian Michaels, and even VH1′s joke of a show “Money Hungry” (which I think is more exploitive than helpful) are great motivators, in my opinion.
Again, congratulations- and I’ll keep my eyes peeled for people who need trainers! Gotta love my entrepreneurs.

Justified making my earliest post at http://www.renewedfitness.org, which seems to be a wonderful forum!
