I love this cartoon. It's so true!

Hey Sweetheart Challengers! Welcome to Week 3! But first things first, how did you do with last week’s challenge? Changing your eating habits can be one of the hardest things to do. So, if you weren’t used to consciously getting in a green veggie everyday, week 3 may have been very tough. I hope you all did  well or at least tried. Leave a comment below and me know how you did. I want to hear it!

So… this week’s challenge is to “get moving” at for 4-5 days this week. What do I mean by “get moving”? I mean try your best to get some exercise in! This is a health challenge, right? Whether you’re trying to lose some weight, gain flexibility, tone your abs or legs, you should be working out for 30-45 minutes a day, for 4-5 days a week.

I know…I know…Life isn’t easy and our busy schedules can sometimes interfere with taking care of our bodies. But, if you want it bad enough, you’ll find time. Here are a few tips to getting your sweat on:

  • First, figure out what time of day works better for you. Mornings? Mid-afternoon during lunch? After work? After dropping the kids off at school? When can you squeeze in 30-45 minutes of nothing but activity that will benefit your body?
  • After you figure that out, PLAN the workout. Will it be a class? A DVD you do at home? 5 minute warm-up then some weight/resistance training at the gym? Get those things set up the day before so that you don’t waste time trying to figure it out.
  • If you don’t have a gym membership and you own a Wii or an Xbox try a workout game. Personally, I enjoyed the “MJ Experience” on the Wii and it was QUITE a workout. There’ also “Just Dance” as well as a “Zumba” game you can try. As long as you’re moving, you’re good!
  • Go for a walk! For those of us in Chicago, I know it’s still a little chilly out. But we know how to dress! Bundle up and walk around the block a couple times.

That’s it! If you all have ANY questions about how you can reach this week’s goal, feel free to comment and ask. Later this week, I’m writing a post about your “fat burning zone” and how great it is for weight loss. Good luck everyone! Check in with each other on Twitter so that we can encourage and enlighten each other. Let’s get fit!
