Helloooo! It’s week 5 and we’re still going strong on our weekly goals, right? Right! I hope and pray everyone is still in the fight to get healthy and wise about being fit. Don’t give up or throw in the towel. Stay in it and see how awesome you’ll be at the end of this! CharriseRenee and I are rooting for ya!
This week’s challenge is another tough one. (Well, all the weekly challenges are tough, right?) Do your best to eliminate any and all FAST FOOD from your diet this week. No McDonald’s, no Burger King, no Wendy’s, no White Castle. Any food, you have to go out and get, that only takes a few minutes to get? Don’t eat it. Do your very best to cook all of your meals this week. Tips on getting through this week:
- BRING your lunch and snack to work with you.
- PLAN your meals for the week so that you know exactly what you should be eating and when.
- You can even cook ALL of your meals for the week in one night. Pack and store (freeze) those foods for later. When you’re ready to eat ‘em, re-heat ‘em!
I know you’re asking…”What’s so wrong with fast food?” Most fast food is packed and over-processed with calories, preservatives and fat. Your body has to exert a lot more effort to digest and process those types of foods and most of the time, it just turns to fat. Packing it in places where you don’t want it. So, give your body (and your wallet) a break this week and try your best to cook all your foods. I guarantee your energy level will be higher and your body will feel lighter and more fit.
One thing that I tell my clients to try: calculate the total amount of money you spend on fast food in a week. During this week, take that total and go grocery shopping for food to eat at home or to prepare lunch with. Your wallet will thank you! You’d be surprised at how much you spend on food and how much you could save.
So…that’s it! Let’s go into this week strong and ready to take it on with energy and willingness!
Be Renewed!
