I loooooove snacks. I always find myself munching on things in order to keep from being hungry between meals. And because I’m always snacking, it’s easy to just grab whatever is around to satisfy my hunger. But over the years, I’ve found that grabbing just anything can backfire on my health and fitness goals. And I always seem to grab the sweet stuff. So, I’ve learned to be prepared as much as possible and try my best to have my favorite snacks in the house or in my purse. Happy 2013, everyone!
I didn’t dive right into writing posts about resolutions, goals, challenges and making 2013 “the best year” right away. Simply because, as of a few years ago, I don’t really believe in resolutions. I believe in setting goals and following through with a plan to achieve them, whatever time of year. Not just in January. Most resolutions I always hear are so lofty and often unrealistic. It pushes me further away from making them and just sticking with my own meaning of doing things with no fear, doing the best I can in everything I do, and living every day to the fullest. I was invited down to the University of Illinois in Champaign (I’m an alumni of this very awesome university!) for a wonderful natural hair conference called “SuperNatural Tender, Love and Hair”. The conference was put on by a great student organization (SuperNatural) that is focused on bringing resources, information and fun on campus about natural hair health.
